Terms of Use

The service

Florida Service Match is a referral and matching service. We collect information about a home-service need or a provider application and may introduce customers and participating service professionals. We do not perform moving, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical, or any other trade. We are not a contractor, subcontractor, employer of providers, insurer, or escrow agent.

No guarantee of a match

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a provider will be available, will contact you, or will accept the job. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the network or any volume of leads.

Providers are independent

Any work is performed under a separate agreement between you and the provider. Prices, scheduling, licensing, insurance, workmanship, and warranties are the provider’s responsibility. We do not currently operate a process that independently verifies that a company is licensed, insured, background checked, or “vetted,” and we do not make those claims.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information on forms.
• Use the site only for lawful residential or small-business service matching.
• Do not submit requests on behalf of someone else without permission.
• Do your own diligence before hiring anyone introduced through the site.

Communications

If you consent on a form, Florida Service Match and participating providers may contact you about that request or application by phone, text, or email. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Intellectual property

Site content, trademarks, and layout are owned by Florida Service Match or its licensors. You may not copy the site for a competing matching service. You may link to public pages.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free matching, or the quality, safety, or legality of any provider’s work. To the fullest extent allowed by Florida law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Florida Service Match is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from the site or from any introduction to a provider. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some limitations may not apply where prohibited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Florida Service Match harmless from claims arising out of your use of the site, your submissions, or your relationship with a provider, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
